I have twin girls who are high achievers, and we purchased this SBAC 4th Grade English Test Prep book from Lumos Learning and we thought it is was VERY helpful. Good questions and explanations. We ordered another brand as well, but thought this one was superior. My girls both scored EXTREMELY high... in fact, when their teacher received their scores she was so pleased that she texted us, and told us their scores were "unbelievable" and she was "so impressed and proud of them." We purchased SBAC Test Prep for 5th Grade from Lumos Learning this year, and so far, we are very pleased with it.

I appreciated the CAT types of questions my students were able to practice using this book but I especially liked the online Performance Tasks which saved me time from having to search for articles/sources to print and then come up with questions. My students were able to get an authentic feel for the types of questions on the test. I feel the students were more invested in answering/completing the tasks from the LUMOS book since I think they felt the tasks were more valid coming from a a professional book than the tasks they were used to me, their teacher.

We bought this book for our Son's SBAC preparation. The explanation given to analyze the literature is very easy to understand. In that way while reading, my son really finds it easy to comprehend the passage. It is of great help in his SBAC preparation.

Good book, helped my Daughter to get more confident.

Don't waste your money. This was a horrible purchase. Some of the text was illegible and their version of a performance task is joke. This will go into the trash.
