As For Dummies books often get updates, this one would be a prime candidate, but I haven't seen any new editions yet.Suffice to say this edition, though wearing Amazon's grey wig, still adequately touches upon most of the cogs & sprockets in Amazon's working machine, enough for still a general idea. I would like to know IF a new version DOES get released.

This is a great all around book for Amazon sellers.It is an easy read, highly recommend.

I haven't really been able to get into it yet, it seems informative but so far is very "wordy" meaning it says the same thing repeatedly in different words. It may well be better along the way and I'll update my review but right now it's not inticing me to pick it up.

I purchased this workbook for a CNA Program that I recently completed. The book arrived in new condition, and it was very helpful in successfully completing the course. My only recommendation would be that they should add an answer sheet in the back of the book, so that I can check my answers for accuracy.

This was a great book to use with the online workbook chapter test. I was able to take the test following each chapter some of the pages was a little of but okay. Some of the things in the book wasn't really on the test. But it still gave you points on some of the written and definitely most of the clinical part. I took my test and passed.

You would think a workbook would have an answer key - but this one does not. It’s a waste of money bc you don’t know if you are actually doing it correct.

Used it for school. There is a newer version of this out but it’s not that much different than this one.

My son wanted this for his highschool class.

I ordered this book for a friend, because I have prime 2 day shipping. I assume it was very helpful in studying for her certification, since she passed the test.

The history of the Oregon Trail is filled with death and destruction and many tails told in the twist of the tong, some not true at all others brought forth as a fable with little substance of truth. As a historian on Eastern Oregon and Westward Migration much that has been told about the trip and what happened at the Whitman all to often is told in the venue of half truths. This book, "Orphaned on the Oregon Trail" will add to any dedicated reader more of the experience of coming west and of the Whitman Mission and its purpose and insight into those that arrived there almost at the point of starvation, children 2 to 16 years of age, no parents, cared for by the wagon train families headed West. This book is a good read for all ages and I enjoyed it from start to finish and have now passed it on to my grandchildren. The text is shallow in the events of what happened at the Whitman Mission but the intent was to tell the story of the 7 children orphaned on the trail West. To gain a fuller understanding of the Whitman tragedy I suggest reading the five Volume series, "Thunder Over the Ochoc's" and Frontier Genocide of the Native People.

Has printing errors. Things like dates and just random words in text are inaccurate. Compared to original hardcover book and printing and there are inconsistencies, errors in printing, dates are inaccurate.

I read this book cover to cover in one sitting. The children displayed remarkable character living through loss of family, having to adjust to a new family only to lose them in a most horrible situation. This book draws you into the characters, helping you to realize what day to day life was over a century ago, what settlers endured in hardships, illness and the threat of being brutally murdered. Interesting book, but some of the death description would be difficult for children to hear or read about.

I bought this book for my 8-year old son and I to read together because we are both interested in the Oregon Trail. The story is all the more interesting and emotional because it's based on the true story of seven kids who lose both parents as they move west as part of a wagon train. The trials and tribulations of the family and their adoptive parents brings history alive in a way children can relate to, albeit with sadness and tragedy involved. Some very emotional children might have a hard time with the deaths and killing in the story, but the characters' ability to survive it is a great lesson in human resiliency and courage. The fates of the children are included at the end of the book, so the reader's attachment to them is fulfilled by learning of their lives after the story ends.

Great book, terrific read aloud with my 4th grade class during our study of the Westward Expansion and the Oregon Trail!

My maiden name is Sayger and my GGGGGG Uncle is the character in this book who takes his family on the Oregon Trail. I read it to my mother (92) and she loved it. Great story, very moving and for me, a real eye opening experience into the history of my family.

This book is a detailed treasure trove, carefully and concisely written by a master. I can't give it less that 5 stars.The one thing I don't like about it is that it still includes coverage of Python 2. Lots of passages explain a feature, then in parentheses mention something similar to "but that's for v2; for v3 ...". So, if you're only interested in v3, there's some re-reading required. I'm still only on chp 3. Sometimes the v3 content comes first --- I think it may be a mix.I don't have the previous edition in front of me, but I think they dropped coverage of tkinter for this edition.As for production value, the pages feel nice and thick, and it has good print quality.

Great reference. This contains summaries of standard Python. Needs more info on packages.

Though everything is included, it doesn't really help at all. If you try to learn python or use python for data analysis and machine learning, find another one.

I learned many things about Python that I found useful and I didn't even suspect of their existence. Very well-conceived book!

Coming from almost 10 years of Ruby programming i jumped to Python with confidence: i slurped some thin books such as "Pocket Reference" and "Effective Python", pretending i could program in Python like i do in Ruby.I was wrong..."Python in a Nutshell" thought me i was just scraping the surface of the language, by missing the internals of scoping, object orientation, design decisions just to mention some. This is a bold volume, but a condensed one: each topic is exposed in a clear, concise and exhaustive way (compared to the "colloquial/accademic" way of "Fluent Python").If you are an experienced developer aiming to get serious with Python, do yourself a favour by investing some weeks in reading this book.

Python in a Nutshell, 3rd Edition is fantastic! This treatment of the Python language is thorough, and most important for clarity is systematic and consistent. Explanations of inner workings - why and how things work as they do - enrich this work and left me with much greater understanding about areas I thought I already understood well. Python V2 and V3 are both covered comprehensively with examples of each given in cases where they differ, the differences clearly shown and not left to chance. This book is both an introduction and guide to Python and a language reference. Most worthy and highly recommended! (We obtained this book in e-book form directly from O'Reilly Media in pre-release in December 2016.)

This is a very difficult read. Each section eg generators, is introduced with a very detailed mathematic like abstract description that covers all the details. After paragraphs of this the author tells you why you might use this and then gives examples.This makes it very hard to read as you are constantly wondering what the point is. I found myself having to read every section twice to understand it. Now I skim read sections to understand it, then go back to study it. A far better way would be to give a simplified introduction, then give the details.

The font used in the paperback version of this book is too small for comfortable reading. It is comparable to that of O'Reilly's pocket-size books rather than full-size ones.

This book has shed light on the happenings covered in the New Testament in more detail, explaining in some cases what have at times been before a bit difficult to understand due to the translations presented in the NIV. In addition, there are stories revealed that I have interpreted differently, and these made it easier to have another opportunity to understand the actual event as seen from another’s eyes. Highly recommended.

At $1.99 for the Kindle edition, this is a good buy. Add Audible when you purchase the Kindle version, and while it reads with a trio of real voices (not computer generated voice recognition), a cursor follows the words on my Kindle Fire as they are spoken and even automatically turns the pages on the the Kindle. I connect the Kindle to my HDTV and sit back and and have the bible read to me while I see the words. This helps me learn the correct pronunciation of names and places. This is an extract of seven complete chapters from the larger book, "The Story".

This particular book is only 7 stories from the original book. They are 7 excerpts from the full version, however it doesn't state that anywhere in the description. It may be good for a preview, but won't tell the full story. Very disappointing that wasn't disclosed anywhere. Guess that's why it was only $2

This book is wonderful to teach your child how to spell and write sentences, along with other fun things. It was easy at first then it became more challenging. They will need your help since the book wants them to write short stories and all. I am so happy she did not give up and actually enjoyed doing it at times :)

It is acceptable - I wish there were more of an emphasis on sentence writing - for penmanship (to help with spacing between words, sizing of letters etc) - or an emphasis on spelling. Its a good simple overview but i'd like to see my daughter be able to practice her writing or spelling skills more than what this book offers.

My 7 yr old daughter reads at a 4th grade level but can't spell worth a darn. This book is helpful after regular homework

I typically hate to read, but this was hard to put down! I enjoyed the topic and I think anyone interested in downsizing their lives into an RV (especially full time) will also stand to have a better grasp on the topic. As for me and my wife, this is something we've only recently tossed around. It's been four days since I started reading this book and I have found everything to be useful! I looked at a motorhome of interest and by the end of my visit at the dealer the price asked was dropped over 20% without me making an offer just buy using the authors advice. Also I have found his advice especially useful in helping me know when to walk away from a motorhome... what I mean is that he offers a simple checklist of deal breakers and gives simple advice on things to look for and be weary of. Things I would have overlooked or downplayed. His chapters on making money were very helpful and inspiring. My wife and I will be trying some of these! No get rich quick schemes or even get rich at all tips, but just sensible ideas and suggestion on multiple income streams that may be able to bring in a few bucks to keep a little jingle in the pocket! Another very special chapter for me was the one on downsizing. I've made my list and have assigned nearly my entire homes belongings!I'm 30 years old and my wife and I are excited on starting this journey soon, but not mañana...

As a woman just turning 65 and living in NC with her 67 yr old husband...I love love love this book!! We want to take this step to sell everything from the house to all thats inside it and live on an RV "class A" of course. This book gives so much info in helping us into making that decision! Of the many books we've read, this one was not only written in clear language, but is extremely informative and educational.With the information and guidance offered by the author, we are feeling a lot clearer about a decision - still have a lot of homework to do.If you want good, clear information about RVing, this is the book!

Very practical and useful advice, even if you are not at or near retirement but thinking about living full-time (or even part-time) in an RV. One thing I have not seen addressed in this or any other book so far when evaluating what state should be your legal domicile, is the issue of death with dignity laws. Most books eliminate Washington state from the top 10 list because we have a sales tax on vehicles based on value and that is an added yearly expense. While that is definitely an important consideration, especially if you're on a fixed income and/or have a high-value RV, I will happily pay that in exchange for knowing that I -- not some bible-thumping legislator -- will make my end-of-life decisions if I become terminally ill.

I found a few suggestions and some information I had not thought of or read about elsewhere. Some of the information is the same as you will find in many other books on the subject but this one seems to go into more detail in some areas. I'd like even more detailed information about boondocking, technical aspects of various RV's and the systems in them, adding solar panels, etc. but haven't found THAT book yet.

This book was wonderful. Too bad I didn't download it and read it before we bought our 5th wheel. Nonetheless, the information provided by Jerry is very helpful to a newbie Full-timer. I highly recommend anyone planning to make the leap from 'bricks and sticks' to a fulltime RV lifestyle, that you read Jerry's book first!!

The book was a easy read with lots of good information. I think I enjoyed it more because the author was share his RV lifestyle rather the just information. I'very already recommended this to a friend. I passed another book to a friend but will keep this one because of the great information.

While some of Jerry's information was not new knowledge for me, that's only because I had already spent countless hours watching YouTube videos and visiting websites from the same resources he recommends.Easy to read and understand but that doesn't mean it's not chock full of valuable information. Unlike many similar books, he goes into greater depth and seems to care about the information he's sharing. Better written than most, although this grammar Nazi still caught a few errors -- he should have hired me to edit his book. :-)Very worth the cost if you're considering this lifestyle.

Liebster autobiographal memoir provides a heart-stirring account of the oppression of a pre-teen girl in Nazi German, who had her first period apart from her mother who was in a concentration camp. Both Simone, her mother and father survived, victims of Nazi persecution of the minority religion of Jehovah's Witnesses, who steadfastly opposed the Nazis, unclean the mainstream Protestant and Catholic Churches, who, by and large, supported Hitler and his regime. It is of interest because Liebster did not go to a concentration camp but to a reform school, to experience a different type of oppression. The book is an excellent addition to a middle school classroom library, providing a first-person account on an intimate human level of religious persecution, and a glimpse into history that rounds out one's education on the Holocaust and what it meant in terms of human emotion and relationships.

Simone’s experiences range from pure joy to unspeakable horror. You relive her ups and downs through the eyes of an intelligent, artistic, spirited child. Her glowing description of Alsace and vivid retelling of life with suddenly unreasonable relatives will touch your heart. Her survival under sickening Nazi rule while desperately hanging on to her growing faith will make you cheer. Very positive and faith strengthening.

This is one of the most beautiful books I have ever had the honor to read. It is very human, very real and Simone Liebster does a simply remarkable job of telling her story of when she was a little girl facing tremendous pressure by the Nazi regimen. No little girl should ever have to face these types horrors, but her faith in her God, Jehovah, helped her to heal eventually and she tells her story in a way that captures the imagination and makes one understand the power of faith in a living God. A must read. No regrets.

This book is one of the most touching books that I have read in a long time! Simone's experience is remarkable in many ways. She was a little girl when she was faced with one of the most difficult situations a human being can experience. She was separated from both her parents and taken to a "re education" center where she was supposed to realize that her beliefs were wrong and accept that she could have a better life if only she rejected her faith. The way she faced that, is a testimony to the Bible education she received at home and a strong proof that even when you are that young you can remain loyal to your faith under the most excruciating circumstances.

This was a beautiful story about a family that was able to remain kind and calm in the face of terrible religious persecution during Nazi rule. I can't even stay calm in traffic some days! I'm inspired by how they maintained a compassionate view even toward their enemies. I'd be interested in reading the unabridged version too.

I have always been interested in the topic of aging. I have read everything from blue zones to ageless and Jillian knocks it out of the park with The 6 Keys. This is by far the most in depth book i've read on the subject and the program is comprehensive yet manageable. The science in the beginning of the book can seem a it overwhelming at first, but Jillian breaks it down in a way that makes it easier to understand, but most importantly the action steps are easier to follow.Jillian breaks down the plan into the following: Mind/Body, Nutrition, Exercise, Lifestyle, and Environment. I I particularly found the mind body section of the book fascinating and loved how she broke down all fad diets and explained what works, what doesn't and why.I can't tell you how the plan has taken years off my life yet, but I can tell you it's an eye opening read. Highly recommend it if you are interested in looking better and feeling better inside and out.

This book is sooooo good, it's beyond what I expected. I have read hundreds of other books but this one is UNIQUE. I will not write more, cause I don't want to spoil it for you, I will only add this book inspired me and it can change your life too. Choice is yours. Thank you Jillian Michaels.

I bought The Six Keys for a plane ride over the holidays and couldn't put it down. I've read a couple of Jillian's other books and know a lot about nutrition and health but was pleasantly surprised by the amount of cutting edge research featured in The Six Keys along with practical ways to live stronger and better. Jillian provides intelligent, safe ways to minimize the effects of aging in a voice that is honest and empowered and has fundamentally changed the way I think about getting older. Highly recommended!

I really wanted to like this book, but it was disappointing for a few reasons. (1) Jillian claims to be the first person EVER to put together a comprehensive book about aging. She's not. In fact, a famous TV doctor wrote a book on aging many years ago. Her book is VERY similar to his. (2) If you read her book Master Your Metabolism, you don't need to read this one. A lot of it was basically copied and pasted into this book. (3) I've always admired Jillian's sense of confidence, but it seems to have evolved into full-blown ego. The book starts with her recounting a visit to a bar frequented by millenials who kept coming up to her because they couldn't believe she was in her 40s. She goes on and on about how great everyone thinks she looks. This attitude continues throughout the book and it's really annoying (4) The book could have been condensed into half the size. The second half of the book is a rehash of the first half. (5) I saw Jillian advertising this book on a talk show. She made it seem like it's really easy and inexpensive to live the lifestyle that's outlined in this book--just a few easy tweaks! That's not true. Even if you believe in the benefits of eating a purely organic diet, buying reverse osmosis water filtration systems for your home, buying a laundry list of expensive supplements, none of this is inexpensive! She is simply out of touch.

Jillian Michaels' books are well written and researched and this one is no difference. Great book and very informative, you will find this book a great addition yo your personal library.

Just got the book today and already have learned so many helpful tips for healthy aging - including drinking wine! Unlike many health and wellness books, Jillian combines her personal humor with understandable science (damn, she did A LOT of research for this one!) and great takeaways. It's not for one type of person, it's for all of us who want to live longer and age gracefully. No better time to read than over the holidays and to use her teachings for 2019. Highly recommend.

Pretty quick read. Beware, this is not a weight loss book. Its about longevity. I didnt find much that i hadn't heard abour but the book explained the concepts well. If you like Jillian's work, you will probably enjoy this as i did.

These are the perfect complement to the Wizard's card game. In a review of that game, someone mentioned that the scorecards included were too small and that these were more comfortable. That is true - these are the ideal scorecards for the game, and worth the extra purchase.

Great companion product for the card game Wizards. The score pad that comes with the cards is printed so tiny you’d have to use a magnifying glass to read it. These are easy read and use.

We've played Wizard for years but I always despised the micro score pad that the game comes with. Who knew they made oversized ones?! I brought these to my mom's house and she was amazed - she wants a pad now too! It doesn't fit in the Wizard box, but I don't mind.

Sent one plastic - good! Other was cardboard - not what I ordered!!! 2 different versions - ordered both plastic. Plastic is good quality!!

Highly recommend getting these larger scorepads for the Wizard game - the ones that come with the Wizard card set are extremely hard to read & write on.

This score pad is 10X better than the little tiny pad that comes with the game, this pad is much easier to write on and see... especially for the older generation who doesn't trust the score keeper (grandpa) I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good game of Wizard.. not to mention you can make copies, or scan it in for later use
