I've been waiting for this for a while now, and I'm so happy with it it doesn't let me down after so much anticipation! I've got other gingerbread books, but this one is by far the best. It has very detailed instructions for every step, complete with beautiful photos. And the workmanship is excellent on everything. So many times I see books (or websites) with interesting ideas but sloppy work on the details. Not so with this. Every project is beautiful, and she makes them all seem doable, even when they look intimidating. And the whole thing is beautiful enough to be a lovely coffee table book as well! I highly recommend this book!

I am very disappointed in this book. The print on most of the pages has such poor contrast that reading it is extremely unpleasant. I never thought this could even be an issue with a book of this caliber! It seems it may not even be in compliance with The ADA standards!( Americans with Disabilities Act) I returned it for another copy in the hope that it was a fluke but Amazon simply sent a post it note with The name of 'Peter Pauper Press' on the replacement...same poor contrast. I guess that says volumes. I have made gingerbread houses for years with my grandchildren and was so looking forward to using this. Using it is actually painful as I have to seek out daylight lighting to make it easier to read.

Some different projects to try. Beautifully illustrated with some unique projects that I haven't found elsewhere. Can't wait to show off my new gingerbread skills at our family Thanksgiving Dinner and Christmas.

Great book for beginners. Highly recommend as you will find a couple of very important tips not found in other places.
