Well written and organized. Helped me decide to get hamsters because it was detailed about the information given about them. It told of different types of hamsters, care, feeding, housing and health concerns that can come up with these pets. I would recommend adding this book to your library if you are searching for info on hamsters you might bring into your family.

My 7 yr old grandson got a hamster for Christmas. Before we would let him pick him out, he had to read the book out loud to us. He learned, and we learned, about taking care of this new addition. It was well written for him to understand. It was full of tons of useful information.

I bought this book for my 11 year old son. He really enjoyed reading it and learning how to care for his hamster. He keeps it right by his bed so he can look through it any time he has a question about his hamster. It was really helpful when we were surprised with a litter of baby hamsters. I didn't read through the entire book but it seemed to answer any questions he had (and he had a lot of questions).

If you or your child wants to get a hamster for a pet, this is the book for you both. A lot of information crammed into a paperback book. An inexpensive book and a very quick read will have you very knowledgable about hamsters by it close. Also winds up being a great quick reference book, as well.

Son got a hamster, it got loose on the way home in my truck and chewed up the wiring, this book (and keeping it in its cage) taught her not to do that anymore. I’d Def recommend. 😉

This was a very thin book with not much information. I can get more information online. I was hoping for illustrations which would help understand some concepts as I was reading this with my kids. The information in this was too general to be of much help.

My daughter just loves this book. She found so many things out about her hamster that even I did not know.
